Weekly Brew

On Monday the 15th July we officially opened, this week has been a huge success, thank you to our staff and customers & visitors that have made this happen. We have all been working hard despite the heat trying our hand at ice tea & coffees, for those who don't know that all this has been done to help fund-raise for the charity USupport, www.usupport.org.uk, it provides days out to sporting, music & theatre events for children who have life limiting conditions also to those who are most vulnerable in the community. This week we will be launching details of our first event for later in August for the children that usupport is involved with and give them a special day full of fun and games.

On our opening day we raised £30 through giving tea & cakes away for donations. Thanks to all who came and made it really special, We have had so many visitors this week who have enjoyed fresh and tasty salads, amazing sandwiches and jackets. We have served hundreds of cups of tea and freshly ground coffee. Our Lemon drizzle and Carrot cake have proven to be the most popular cakes we have and our homemade cupcakes have become the talk of the Marlands, we have 8 different types freshly made for you they are; Banoffee, Vanilla, Hazelnut, Oreo, White and Milk chocolate, Lemon and Strawberry! Most of them have middles filled with genache, curd or jam!

Tea of the week

To show off our exclusive tea that we have to serve and for sale, every week we will review to give you an insight on the tea-luscious blends to try and take home .

English Tea no 1

The best way to describe this tea in an English breakfast taste with a hint of zest like in Earl Grey, A delightful combination of both! This tea has light floral tones but still has the full body of everyday tea. This tea is perfect at any time of day this tea tastes best lightly brewed and drunk without milk.

This is an exclusive blend from Ahmad Tea and is made up with leaves from the world’s best tea regions, Assam in India, Ceylon in Sri Lanka and Kenya in Africa. These Teas make up the basic blend for most every day tea.

Assam gives it strength, Sri Lanka its colour and Kenya for its depth English Tea no 1 one of the best-selling blends Ahmad tea has to offer. These are all black teas, which are the most commonly drunk tea here in Britain.

Black Tea is rich in polyphenols, which is a substance found naturally in Tea, they can help your body take in anti-oxidants and help you absorb iron into your body.
